1- Keep On Keepin' On, traduction du recueil Pè Sèt par le poète américain Jack Hirchmann, avec l'aide de la poétesse haïtienne Boadiba. Editeur: IUniverse Inc, New York, 102 p., USA, 2006.

I was of course struck by the work "Poetic equation" because at no time in the more than a dozen years that I'd been translating Haitian Creole poetry had I come upon a work in that language which utilized the space of the page in so experimental a way, and at the same time did not compromise either the political or love-affirming intent of the poem [...] Large is able to notate his responses to Haiti's political and social oppression in fresh ways, and to reveal as well the ever-reincarnate fighting spirit of the Haitian people.

2- Open gate, an anthology of Haitian Creole Poetry

Traducteurs : Jacques Hirschman et Boadiba

Open gate is the first bilingual collection of modern Haitian Creole poetry available to English readers. These stunning lyrics provide a fascinating look into Haitian culture, addressing a wide range of subjects -- love, hardship, nature, and the violent political repression endemic in Haiti. Yet the humor, vitality, and linguistic richness of these poems testify to Haiti's indomitable spirit and the struggle for freedom

This issue of Mute, largely sparked by Mike davis' claim that in the megaslums Muhammad and the Holy Ghost have superceded Marx, considers another view of the world's burgeoning "naked cities". Where the populace are refugees without rights or basic amenities, are new forms of political action emerging?
